Nana Yaw Osene-Akwah, popularly known as Nana Asem Bi Nti, the Eastern Regional Deputy Communications Director in charge of IT Communications and an aspiring Second Vice Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the Abuakwa South Constituency, has reaffirmed his commitment to strengthening party unity and enhancing grassroots mobilisation to position the party for victory in the 2028 general elections.

Speaking in an interview with Nana Kwasi Asare (OB4) on the Adekye Mu Nsem current affairs programme on Akyem Tafo-based Nopras 107.5 FM on June 22, 2026, Nana Asem Bi Nti outlined his vision for the constituency and the party's future.

According to him, the NPP must remain united and focused on rebuilding its structures at the grassroots level to increase its electoral fortunes and contribute significantly to the party's efforts to recapture political power under the leadership of former Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia in the 2028 elections.

The aspiring Second Vice Chairman noted that his long-standing experience in grassroots political activism has equipped him with the skills and knowledge needed to help energise the party's base. He recounted that since 2012, he has been actively involved in mobilising supporters through the Eastern Patriots Group, a platform he said played a significant role in strengthening the NPP's grassroots campaign efforts in several constituencies.

He cited the party's victories in the Akwatia and Upper Manya parliamentary constituencies as examples of the impact effective grassroots mobilisation can have on electoral outcomes. He expressed confidence that with the right support and innovative strategies, the NPP can expand its parliamentary representation and improve its overall electoral performance in future elections.

Nana Asem Bi Nti further revealed that before declaring his intention to contest for the position, he sought the blessings and support of the incumbent Second Vice Chairman, Nana Kofi Fredua. He emphasized that his decision to contest is driven by a desire to serve the party and not to create divisions.

"I believe in unity and consultation. My doors remain open to all party members for discussions and collaboration aimed at strengthening the NPP in Abuakwa South and beyond," he stated.

He therefore appealed to delegates and party faithful to support his candidature, assuring them of his dedication to hard work, inclusiveness, and effective mobilisation to help secure victory for the NPP in the 2028 general elections.

Nana Asem Bi Nti maintained that with renewed energy, strategic planning, and strong grassroots engagement, the NPP can regain power and continue its vision for national development.
