E/R: Kwahu West MCE Urges Maintenance Culture As Ultra-Modern KG Block Commissioned At Kokrompe

The Municipal Chief Executive for Kwahu West, Hon. Tamimu Halidu, has called on traditional leaders and residents of Kokrompe to practice a culture of maintenance to protect and prolong the lifespan of the newly commissioned ultra-modern Kindergarten block.


He made the call during the official commissioning of the facility at Kokrompe, which is aimed at improving access to quality basic education in the community and its environs. Hon. Halidu also urged teachers to handle the children with care and advised the pupils to take their studies seriously.


Commending the National Association of Local Authorities of Ghana (NALAG) and its partner, the Federation of Canadian Municipalities (FCM), for investing in the future of the children, the MCE noted that education remains one of the most important responsibilities of any society.


On his part, the General Secretary of NALAG, Mr. Sheriff Jerry Amarh, reaffirmed NALAG's commitment to improving educational standards in Ghana. He said the new KG block has been equipped with modern facilities and adequate teaching and learning materials to provide a conducive environment for academic and social development.



In a related development, the MCE also commissioned small-scale water projects for the people of Kokrompe.
