W/R: OVER 3,000 SHS NEW ENTRANTS BENEFIT FROM JOANA GYAN CUDJOE’S BACK-TO-SCHOOL PROJECT

More than 3,000 students from Amenfi Central and other parts of the country who are entering Senior High School have benefited from an educational support initiative by the Member of Parliament for Amenfi Central, Hon. Joana Gyan Cudjoe.


The initiative, dubbed the “Back-to-School Project,” provided beneficiaries with essential items including chop boxes, mattresses, buckets, books, pens and trunks to support them as they begin their Senior High School education.


Each beneficiary received items estimated at GH¢2,060, with students required only to present their admission letters to qualify for the support.


According to the MP, the beneficiaries were drawn not only from Amenfi Central but also from Amasaman, Prestea, Tarkwa, Asankrangwa and other parts of the Western, Western North, Ashanti, Greater Accra and Upper West Regions.


Hon. Joana Gyan Cudjoe said the initiative was aimed at easing the financial burden on parents and helping students begin their Senior High School journey with the necessary educational essentials and dignity.


Chiefs and residents of Amenfi Central have commended the MP for the initiative, describing it as timely and significant support for families preparing their children for Senior High School.


One of the chiefs said the intervention had taken a major financial burden off parents and provided students with renewed hope as they prepared to commence their education.


He said the initiative demonstrated commitment to education and what he described as practical leadership in supporting young people in the constituency.
