Matilda Ohenewaa Birikorang has officially declared her intention to contest for the position of Women Organizer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the Abuakwa South Constituency, outlining a vision centered on women’s empowerment, unity, and grassroots development.


In her declaration, Madam Birikorang reaffirmed her commitment to the core values of the NPP, including opportunity, freedom, justice, and equity. She noted that empowering women remains a key pillar for strengthening both the party and national development.


She highlighted several priorities she intends to pursue if elected, including increasing women's participation in party activities, establishing leadership and mentorship programs, supporting vulnerable women, enhancing women's involvement in decision-making processes, and promoting unity among party members.


Madam Birikorang further pledged to work closely with constituency executives, stakeholders, and grassroots members to strengthen party structures and improve the NPP’s electoral prospects in Abuakwa South.


Describing herself as dedicated, passionate, and ready to serve with humility and integrity, she appealed to delegates and party faithful to support her candidature, assuring them of her commitment to placing women at the forefront of the constituency’s growth and development.


Meanwhile, some delegates and party members who attended the declaration event described Madam Birikorang as a unifier, trustworthy, hardworking, and loyal party member. According to them, her unwavering commitment to party activities before, during, and after elections demonstrates her readiness for the position.


They therefore called on delegates to give her their overwhelming support in the upcoming election, expressing confidence in her ability to advance the interests of women and contribute significantly to the party’s progress in the constituency.
