E/R:Kwahu Obomeng Easter Festival Kicks Off in Eastern Region
The Kwahu Obomeng Chief has officially launched this year's Kwahu Easter Festival activities in the Eastern Region. The launch event was marked with traditional pomp and pageantry, setting the tone for a vibrant celebration.
Speaking on behalf of the Kwahu Obomeng Traditional Area, Nana Owusu Nyame, Sub-chief of Nkawkaw Deemini Town, outlined the festival's programme, highlighting key events such as the Kwahu Obomeng Clan Festival, unveiling of a statue of late Minister Amane Boamah, Local Food Bazaar Festival, and more. "We have a packed programme lined up for this year's festival, and we're excited to share it with all," Nana Owusu Nyame said.
The Sub-chief also took the opportunity to advise the youth on social issues, emphasizing the need for responsible behavior. "We advise our youth to desist from indecent dressing and stealing. Measures are in place to curb these issues, and we urge everyone to respect our traditions and laws," he warned. He extended an invitation to all, both at home and abroad, to join the celebration in harmony. "We welcome you all to Kwahu Obomeng this Easter. Let us come together to celebrate our culture and heritage," Nana Owusu Nyame said.
