E/R:Atiwa Community Hospital GM Urges Ghanaians to Go for Regular Medical Check-Ups

The General Manager of Atiwa Community Hospital  Madam Yvonne Nana Adzane Okai  has advised Ghanaians to make regular medical check-ups a priority in order to detect health conditions early and live healthier lives.

Madam Yvonne gave the advice while speaking on Radio 1, 100.7 FM, on the morning show “Oman mu Nsem” hosted by Nana Kwabena Addo.

According to her, many people pay little attention to their health and focus more on working tirelessly without undergoing proper medical examinations. She stressed that regular health screening helps individuals understand what is really affecting their bodies instead of waiting until conditions worsen before visiting the hospital.

She expressed concern that a lot of people, especially the youth, are losing their lives due to neglect of their health. Madam Yvonne noted that men in particular often turn a deaf ear to medical advice, even though they are among the most affected.

She mentioned that workers in various professions such as bankers, market women, broadcasters, journalists, farmers and other hardworking Ghanaians often spend the whole year working without taking time to check their health, which she described as very risky.

Madam Yvonne therefore appealed to all Ghanaians to make time for routine medical check-ups, even when they feel strong and healthy. She emphasized that staying healthy is key to enjoying life, adding that “we only have one life, and it is important to take good care of ourselves.”

Madam Yvonne, a seasoned health practitioner, has spent many years in the health sector and is well known for her expertise, experience and commitment to health education and counselling.
