E/R:Former MP Hon. Gifty Twum-Ampofo Marks 30th Wedding Anniversary, Joins Send-off for District Pastor

 

Former Deputy Minister of Education in charge of TVET and former Member of Parliament for Abuakwa North, Hon. Gifty Twum-Ampofo, has expressed gratitude to God for sustaining her marriage over the past 30 years with her husband, Mr. Andrews K. Oppong.

Speaking during a thanksgiving service at the Mount Olivet Methodist Church in Akyem Kukurantumi on Sunday, September 14, 2025, Hon. Twum-Ampofo reflected on the journey of her marriage, noting that it had passed through both smooth and challenging times.

The couple, blessed with three children — two girls and a boy — marked the milestone with the cutting of a cake, joined by family, friends, and some executives of the NPP Abuakwa North Constituency.


Later in the day, she joined the congregation at the Presbyterian Church, Akyem Kukurantumi, to bid farewell to the outgoing district pastor, Rev. Osei Kofi. She praised the pastor for his continuous spiritual support, regular visits, and prayers for her family.

Hon. Twum-Ampofo further commended the congregation for peacefully coexisting with Rev. Osei Kofi throughout his service.

The send-off ceremony was co-chaired by Hon. Twum-Ampofo and Nana Kwame Ampaw Addo Frempong popularly called Chief Buffalo, MP for Abuakwa North and witnessed the presence of notable personalities, including members of the clergy.
