E/R: Kwahu West MCE Cuts Sod for Multiple Development Projects

The Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) for Kwahu West, Hon. Tamimu Halidu, has cut sod for the commencement of several developmental projects in the municipality. He also officially handed over contract documents to contractors tasked with executing the projects.

The projects, funded through the Municipal Assembly’s Common Fund and Internally Generated Fund (IGF), include the construction of Kindergarten blocks with ancillary facilities and sick bays for the Nkawkaw Salvation Army School and the Kokompe Islamic Basic School. According to the MCE, these facilities are aimed at providing pupils with a more conducive learning environment.

In addition, ground was broken for the construction of a modern office for the Ambulance Service at Nkawkaw. The Head of the Kwahu West Municipal Ambulance Service, Principal E. M. Benjamin Yerenkyi, expressed his gratitude to Hon. Tamimu Halidu, noting that the new office, when completed, would greatly enhance administrative work and ease service delivery for the community.

The Kontihene of Kwahu Obomeng, Nana Kwasi Dwamina Anim II, advised contractors to adhere strictly to project specifications and timelines. He emphasized that these initiatives are crucial in improving infrastructure and enhancing healthcare delivery within the municipality.
