E/R:NDC Abuakwa South Constituency Demands Immediate Halt to Recruitment Letters for Kyebi Fire Service Training Center
The National Democratic Congress (NDC) Constituency Communication Officer for Abuakwa South, Aikins Ofori, has issued a stern directive to halt the issuance of recruitment letters to individuals for training at the newly established Fire Service Training Center in Kyebi, Eastern Region.
In a statement, Aikins Ofori revealed that the Ghana Fire Service continues to issue letters, backdated to November 2024, to recruits in 2025. He alleged that this practice is a deliberate ploy by the immediate past government and its allies within the Fire Service to undermine the administration of President John Dramani Mahama.
He further called on the Eastern Regional Fire Service Commander and the national leadership of the Fire Service to immediately cease this activity. He emphasized that failure to act within 24 hours would result in party members besieging the training center.
"This is unacceptable, and we won’t entertain any deliberate attempt to frustrate the governance of H.E. John Dramani Mahama. We call on the leadership to tread cautiously and address this issue immediately,” the statement read.
The NDC Abuakwa South Constituency has called for swift action to ensure fairness and order in the recruitment process, vowing to escalate matters if their demands are not met.
