E/R:Nyafoman Community Hosts Grand Homecoming and Fundraising Ceremony
The chiefs and people of Akyem Nyafoman in the Birim North District of the Eastern Region recently organized a remarkable three-day homecoming and fundraising event aimed at supporting community development projects. The celebration featured a series of activities, including a clean-up exercise, a health walk, a football gala, and a fundraising ceremony, which drew the participation of dignitaries, community elders, and residents.
In his address, Nana Tutuoa, the Nyafoman Nkosuohene, called on natives of Nyafoman and well-wishers to contribute financially and materially towards the ongoing developmental projects in the community. He emphasized the shared responsibility of all stakeholders to support these initiatives and urged those living outside Nyafoman to join hands in advancing the town's progress.
He also took the opportunity to caution the youth of Ghana against engaging in violence during the election season. He reminded them of the importance of maintaining peace, emphasizing that each citizen has only one vote to exercise responsibly.
Further emphasizing the need for peace, Nana Ansah Sasraku Nipa Peprah IV, the Akyem Nyafoman Chief, urged the youth to be civil and adhere to electoral rules. He highlighted their critical role in maintaining stability and implored them to refrain from any actions that could incite violence during this year's elections.
The event not only served as a platform for fostering unity among residents but also underscored the community's commitment to development and peace, making it a memorable occasion for all attendees.
