Osudoku Manya-Dorsi Clan Installed Divisional Chief

The Manya-Dorsi Clan of the Osudoku Traditional Area has installed Mr. Stephen Amponsah, a Retired Chief Executive Officer of Amponsah Minning and Building Construction Services Limited and a member of Anglogold as their Divisional Chief, the highest traditional position in the clan.
Mr. Amponsah, now Nene Tetteh Hwazo ll, Chief of Manya and Djaasetse of Osudoku Traditional Area succeeded Late Teye Okumo Hwazo l, who was installed in 1960 and died in the 1995.
The short ceremony at Osuwem had representatives of the Manya-Dorsi clan, together with the family members witnessed the event in a grand style.
Numo Andrews Teye Humado, Yomo Dede Teiko, elders and other kingmakers of the Manya-Dorsi installed Nene Tetteh Hwazo ll.
Numo Teye Humado and other kingmakers who facilitated the installation said Nene Tetteh Hwazo ll is the rightful heir to the position.
He said the Manya-Dorsi clan forms part of the Osudoku Traditional Area to assist the Paramounnt Chief to run the affairs of the area.
Nene Tetteh Hwazo ll was appointed and accepted later paraded through the principal streets of Osuwem where he was received by elders, offered ancestral blessings for him.
He was finally presented to the Paramount Chief of the Osudoku Traditional Area, Nene Kwasi Animle IV in the presence of everyone, he took the oath and reiterated his commitment to rule with humility, as well as contributions to the development and unity of Osudoku.
He urged for transparency in handling issues of the Manya-Dorsi clan going forward, adding that the necessary consultations were made prior to the installation of the new Wetsoyi.
Nene Tetteh Hwazo ll indicated that unity and fraternity were very common in the past when their forefathers were handling the affairs of the clan, "but the situation has changed now with hatred, divisions and greed among almost all the gates of Osudoku Traditional Area" he noted.
He expressed his desire to ensure that every child, youth and adults of the Manya-Dorsi clan are well taken care of to raise the entire name of Osudoku Traditional Area Paramounncy.
He echoed the collective desire for transparency in the Manya-Dorsi (Clan) Division affairs and emphasised the need for unity to overcome divisions that have hindered the development of Osudoku Traditional Area.
He also promised to prioritize creating opportunities for the youth and stressed the importance of establishing a historical mark of the Osudoku Traditional Area for future generations.
Furthermore, he pledged to provide employment opportunities for the youth, demonstrating his commitment to the development of Osudoku Traditional Area of the Greater Accra Region
