Abuakwa North Constituency NDC Zongo Caucus Launches Zongo Wing

The Abuakwa North Constituency National Democratic Congress (NDC) Zongo Caucus officially inaugurated a Zongo Wing to campaign for the party at a ceremony held in New Tafo Zongo

The event was graced by former national and regional executives of the NDC, who emphasized the party's commitment to Zongo communities and grassroots engagement.

The inauguration marks a significant milestone in the NDC's efforts to mobilize Zongo community support, address unique community concerns, promote inclusive and diverse politics, and enhance grassroots presence

The Zongo Wing will focus on targeted outreach, sensitization programs, and community engagement, leveraging local leaders and structures.

Delegations in attendance included:
Hon Kojo Adukpo, former Eastern Regional secretary, Mr Tawiah Boateng, former Eastern regional chairman, Alhaji Muhammad Saani zongo caucus Coordinator,  H.E  Ambassador Victor Smith former Ambassador UK. Hon Charles Darko Yeboah( Hon Ozay) Abuakwa North NDC Parliamentary candidate, and some constituency executives of the party

The program was chaired by the former national vice chairman H.E Ambassador Alhaji Said Sinaare

Their presence underscores the NDC's dedication to community-centric politics and sets the stage for intensified campaign efforts in Abuakwa North.

Ambassador Victor Smith  expressed confidence in the NDC winning the 2024 General Elections. 

His statement comes as a boost to the party's morale, emphasizing the NDC's chances of success in the upcoming elections. His assurance is based on the party's grassroots engagement and mobilization efforts,the Zongo community's support and enthusiasm, and the NDC's commitment to addressing the concerns of Zongo communities, the party's overall campaign strategy and preparations

His endorsement is significant, given his experience and insight into Ghanaian politics. His confidence in the NDC's victory has energized party members and supporters, gearing them up for the 2024 elections.

Ambassador Victor Smith expressed disappointment in President Nana Addo Danquah Akufo-Addo's leadership, citing concerns over economic mismanagement and alleged land sales. And urged Ghanaians to vote against the NPP 

He also swiped at Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, accusing him of failing to adequately explain the recent fluctuations in the dollar rate.

 He stated that " Dr Bawumia, who is also the Chairman of the Economic Management Team, has not provided convincing explanations for the dollar's rapid depreciation and yet vying for president "
