Joana Gyan Cudjoe Urges Political Actors to Embrace Humility, Respect and Unity
Amenfi Central Member of Parliament, Hon. Joana Gyan Cudjoe, has called on political actors and supporters to approach elections with humility, maturity and respect, stressing that political positions can change at any time.
In a message to family, friends and supporters, the MP reminded politicians that elections are contests and that today’s opponent could become tomorrow’s ally or source of support.
She cautioned against allowing political disagreements to create lasting enmity, noting that circumstances can change and individuals who are opposed today may need one another in the future.
Hon. Cudjoe therefore encouraged political actors to be mindful of their words and actions, particularly when dealing with election-related disputes and legal proceedings.
She emphasized the importance of fairness, respect and inclusiveness, urging all sides to welcome one another and maintain cordial relationships despite political differences.
According to her, political competition should not destroy personal relationships or turn political opponents into enemies.
“Today may be your turn; tomorrow may be someone else’s turn,” she noted, calling for wisdom, maturity and respect in political engagements.
She concluded by urging everyone to remember that nobody knows what tomorrow may bring and encouraged all to conduct themselves responsibly throughout the political process.
