STNFL Founder Petitions Chief Justice Paul Baffoe-Bonnie Over Alleged Judicial Irregularities

The Founder and President of Save The Nation for Future Leaders (STNFL), Mr. Kwadwo Atta Apeakorang, has formally petitioned the Chief Justice of Ghana, His Lordship Justice Paul Baffoe-Bonnie, to investigate what he describes as serious procedural irregularities and an alleged abuse of judicial process involving proceedings at Adenta Circuit Court 2.


The petition, dated July 23, 2026, was officially received at the Office of the Chief Justice on the same day. In the document, Mr. Apeakorang alleges that his matrimonial case, which is currently pending before the Batsoona District Court, is also being heard before Adenta Circuit Court 2, raising concerns over duplication of proceedings and jurisdiction.



According to the petitioner, he has complied with all orders issued by the Batsoona District Court and was surprised to discover that similar proceedings had commenced before another court while the original matter remains unresolved.


Mr. Apeakorang further alleges that the presiding judge at Adenta Circuit Court 2 and his wife's legal counsel acted in a manner he believes compromised the judicial process. He is therefore calling on the Chief Justice to institute an independent investigation into the matter.


The STNFL President also stated that his legal team formally notified Adenta Circuit Court 2 that the same dispute was already before the Batsoona District Court. He explained that the notification was intended to enable the court to consider issues relating to jurisdiction, judicial comity, and the possibility of duplicate proceedings before continuing with the case.


Mr. Apeakorang is urging the Chief Justice to investigate the allegations and take appropriate action to safeguard the integrity, fairness, and credibility of Ghana's justice delivery system.


The claims contained in the petition represent the petitioner's allegations and have not been independently verified. At the time of filing, the Judicial Service and the individuals named in the petition had not publicly responded to the allegations.
