E/R: Solomon Nana Frimpong Establishes Factories to Create Over 400 Jobs for Youth in Eastern Region

In a bold move aimed at reducing unemployment and creating sustainable job opportunities for young people, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Golden Frimps Company and philanthropist, Mr. Solomon Nana Frimpong, has announced plans to establish a number of factories in the Eastern Region of Ghana.

The initiative, according to him, forms part of his commitment to tackling the country's unemployment challenge, particularly among the youth, through industrialization, job creation, and economic empowerment.

Speaking to the media on the sidelines of his birthday celebration held on Sunday, July 19, 2026, at his residence at Akyem Amanfrom in the Abuakwa South Municipality, Mr. Frimpong disclosed that his company has commenced the establishment of several factories aimed at creating employment opportunities for the teeming unemployed youth in the region.

He revealed that a palm oil processing factory is currently being established at Wirenkyiren Amanfrom, while an existing sachet water company is being upgraded to begin bottled water production, with an initial workforce of more than 100 employees.

Mr. Frimpong further disclosed that plans are far advanced to establish additional factories, including a pineapple processing factory, a shoe polish manufacturing factory, a guesthouse with ancillary facilities and a tissue paper production facility.

According to him, the factories are expected to be fully operational by the end of 2026, creating both direct and indirect employment opportunities for between 400 and 500 people, with a strong focus on empowering the youth of the Eastern Region.

Beyond job creation, Mr. Frimpong said he has also been using sports as a platform to educate and positively influence young people. He noted that during the 2026 Easter celebrations, he organized a football tournament dubbed "Easter Gala with Solomon Nana Frimpong", which sought to bring the youth together while educating them on the dangers of drug abuse and its devastating effects on their lives and future.

He urged young people to stay away from illicit drugs and other social vices that could derail their ambitions and instead focus on education, entrepreneurship, and productive ventures that would contribute to their personal growth and the development of their communities.

Mr. Frimpong also disclosed that his foundation has been supporting young people through educational assistance and employability skills training programmes. He announced that additional interventions would be rolled out following the release of the Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) results to support deserving but needy students and improve their educational prospects.

He expressed appreciation to his family, friends, workers, and well-wishers for their unwavering support and for celebrating his birthday with him.



Mr. Frimpong reaffirmed his commitment to community development, youth empowerment, and economic transformation, stressing that he remains dedicated to creating opportunities that will improve livelihoods and contribute significantly to the development of the Eastern Region and Ghana as a whole.
