E/R:Kwahu West MCE Leads Charge for Cleaner Environment


The Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) for Kwahu West Municipal Assembly, Hon. Tamimu Halidu, has led a clean-up exercise in the municipality, emphasizing the importance of maintaining a clean environment for good health and community well-being. The event, aimed at enhancing sanitation, beautifying the environment, and improving public health, saw participation from Assembly staff.


Hon. Halidu noted that cleaner surroundings improve public health and contribute to the municipality's attractiveness and economic potential. He urged residents to take ownership of their environment and work towards creating a cleaner, healthier community.

Kwahu West Municipal Health Director, Mr. Diamond Kwame Amedonu, said the exercise is part of efforts to instill a culture of environmental cleanliness and responsibility among residents. He highlighted the link between a clean environment and improved health outcomes, citing the need to prevent diseases and promote well-being.


Mr. Amedonu called on stakeholders, including market women, traders, and residents, to participate in the initiative, stressing that a cleaner, healthier municipality is achievable through unity and sustained action. The event has sparked hopes for a renewed focus on environmental cleanliness in the municipality.
