Akyem Abuakwa Zongo Queen Mother Donates To Osino Islamic Basic School

The Akyem Abuakwa Council of Zongo Chief’s Queen Mother, Hajia Maurijanatu Mohammed, has donated school uniforms and stationaries to some needy pupils in Osino Islamic Basic School in Fanteakwa South district of the East Region. The queen mother said that during her recent visit to the school, she observed disheartening challenges, including inadequate learning materials and students wearing tattered school uniforms to class. Hence, the situation informed her donation on Tuesday in providing educational material for pupils who lack access to adequate school material in Osino Islamic Basic School.  The beneficiaries received 6 school uniforms, 300 exercise books, 24 mathematical sets and pack of pens, set of school bowls, table spoons, water bottles, erasers, pencils, and others. In a sermon delivered at Koforidua Ascension Presbyterian Church, on the 15th Sunday after Pentecost, Catechist Vida Annan posed three poignant questions: "Where are you? Where is he/she? Where are they?" These questions served as the pivot of her message, challenging Christians to reflect on their faith, journey and commitment to God. Catechist Annan expressed concern about the various reasons that keep Christians, including children, leaders, and even men and women of God, away from the house of God and off the Narrow path to salvation.
