E/R:Sokode Juaso Chief Donates Plywood to Support Kukurantumi Wesley Methodist Church Project



Barimah Dr. Kwabena Awuah Parker I, Chief of Sokode Juaso in the Abuakwa North Municipality of Ghana’s Eastern Region, has donated 20 pieces of plywood to the Akyem Kukurantumi Wesley Methodist Church to support the completion of a platform at the church’s newly constructed hall.


The donation was made on Wednesday, August 26, 2026, as part of efforts to assist the church in completing the ongoing construction works and make the new facility fully functional for church activities and other community engagements.


Presenting the items on behalf of Barimah Dr. Kwabena Awuah Parker I, Chairman of the Abuakwa North Constituency NDC, Alhaji Sadidi Mohammed, said the chief had earlier pledged to support the project with 40 pieces of plywood.


He explained that the donation of the first 20 pieces represents the chief’s commitment to fulfilling his pledge, adding that the remaining materials would be provided as part of his support for the project.



Alhaji Sadidi Mohammed commended the church for its efforts to develop the new hall and expressed the chief’s willingness to support initiatives that contribute to the development and welfare of communities.


Receiving the items, the Society Steward of the Akyem Kukurantumi Wesley Methodist Church, Mr. Benjamin Aboagye, expressed appreciation to Barimah Dr. Kwabena Awuah Parker I for the gesture.


He said the donation would go a long way toward facilitating the completion of the platform and assured the chief that the plywood would be put to good use.


Mr. Aboagye further thanked the chief for demonstrating his commitment to supporting community and religious development, describing the gesture as timely and valuable to the church.


Also present at the brief presentation ceremony was the Ankobeahene of Kukurantumi, Nana Amoah Oduro, Mr Godfrey Appiah Twum, Assistant Steward.
