E/R:Nkawkaw Central Market Redevelopment to Be Completed in 8 Months - MCE



The Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) of Kwahu West, Hon. Tamimu Halidu, has assured that the redevelopment of Nkawkaw Central Market will be completed within 8 months. The sod-cutting ceremony for the project took place in Nkawkaw, Eastern Region, with the Chief of Kwahu Obomeng, Nana Effah Opinamang III, and other dignitaries in attendance.


The project, undertaken by Debagio Company Limited, includes the construction of lockable stores, a police station, fire station, clinic, nursery school, and unit stalls. Hon. Tamimu expressed his commitment to prioritizing existing traders in the allocation of stores after the reconstruction.




Nana Effah Opinamang III emphasized the chief's commitment to ensuring the project's timely completion and thanked the Assembly for the initiative. The contractor, Mr. Charles Boahene, reaffirmed the 8-month completion timeline, stating that the project would upgrade sanitary conditions, improve social infrastructure, and reduce congestion in the market.
