G/R:Hajia Mariam Mohammed Calls for Independent Probe into Kasoa Ofaakor Demolition Incident

Hajia Mariam Mohammed, National Women Organizer for Zongo for Mahama, former National Democratic Congress (NDC) parliamentary hopeful for Amasaman Constituency, and President of Voice of the Nation, has issued a press statement demanding an independent investigation into the recent Kasoa Ofaakor Circuit Court case.


The Kasoa Ofaakor Circuit Court, presided over by Her Honour Nana Asantewaa Attakorah on Friday, February 20, 2026, remanded two notorious landguards and 12 individuals reported to be national security officers into police custody following a demolition exercise conducted by the group. This incident has raised serious concerns about the conduct of security personnel and the implications for public trust in law enforcement.


Hajia Mariam Mohammed expresses deep concern over the incident, calling for an independent and transparent investigation into the allegations of misconduct by security personnel involved in the demolition exercise. She emphasizes that accountability is crucial to preserving the integrity of security institutions and ensuring justice for affected communities.
