Hajia Mariam Mohammed Leads Push for Electroatom (ELATOM) Project as Inventor Viktor Tiunov Highlights Scientific Breakthrough

Presidential Staffer and former Parliamentary Candidate for Amasaman, Hajia Mariam Mohammed, has reaffirmed the transformational impact the Electroatom (ELATOM) Project will have on Ghana’s economy, youth employment, and national energy security. She expressed strong optimism about the initiative, noting that it will create thousands of jobs, stimulate economic growth, and help reduce crime by empowering young people with sustainable employment. Hajia Mariam, who played a pivotal role in convincing Electroatom’s investors to select Ghana as the project’s hub, said the nation’s strategic position as the gateway to Africa, coupled with the favourable environment provided under President John Dramani Mahama, made Ghana the ideal destination. She stressed that the project will contribute significantly to Ghana’s GDP through taxes and will support the broader national development agenda.

Hajia Mariam made these remarks during the Electroatom (ELATOM) Conference held on 5th December, 2025, in Accra under the theme “The Future of Technology and Energy Starts Here!” The ceremony brought together key national and international stakeholders, chiefs, government representatives, students, and the press, marking a major milestone in Ghana’s energy transformation journey.

Her remarks were echoed by Prince Adams, Country Representative of Electroatom (ELATOM) LLC, who described the initiative as a game-changing innovation set to redefine Africa’s energy future. The project, powered by autonomous power stations developed by Tribal Technology, aims to deliver clean, affordable, and uninterrupted energy across Ghana and beyond. Its benefits include reduced emissions for healthier communities, affordable electricity for households and businesses, increased job opportunities, energy independence with 24/7 reliable power, and expanded rural electrification to connect remote areas.

The project’s inventor, Mr. Viktor Tiunov, a Russian Nobel Prize nominee, also addressed participants. He shared his personal journey and motivation, explaining how his lifelong passion for science and energy innovation inspired him to pursue technologies capable of solving global energy challenges. He recounted how the project began, arising from years of exploring fundamental scientific processes that ensure the efficiency, safety, and sustainability of the Electroatom technology, eventually evolving into the breakthrough solution being introduced today. Tiunov emphasized the importance of the project for Ghana and Africa, noting that the continent stands to benefit greatly from clean, stable, and affordable energy. He also expressed his openness to collaboration with African governments, universities, and private-sector institutions to advance innovation and knowledge transfer.

In conclusion, speakers at the conference agreed that the Electroatom (ELATOM) Project positions Ghana as a continental leader in green technology and modern energy systems. Hajia Mariam Mohammed underscored that with collective effort and support for the President’s vision, the initiative will not only power communities but also transform livelihoods and accelerate sustainable national development.
