E/R:NPP Kade Constituency Denounces “Baseless Attacks” by Destooled Amankrado of Akim-Asuom
The New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the Kade Constituency has issued a strong statement condemning what it describes as “derogatory and misguided attacks” made by the destooled Amankrado of Akim-Asuom, Mr. Kwasi Ringold, in a viral video circulating on social media.
According to the party, Mr. Ringold—who was recently removed from his traditional role—made comments perceived as disrespectful toward the national leadership of the NPP, including the five presidential aspirants contesting the party’s 2026 presidential primaries. The constituency executives described the remarks as “unwarranted, reckless and distasteful.”
Mr. Kwasi Ringold
In the statement, the NPP noted that Mr. Ringold is well known in the political landscape of Kade and questioned his decision to direct what they call “offensive vituperations” at respected leaders of the party. They stressed that while he has long been treated with respect as an elder, his recent conduct does not merit the same accord.
The party further called on President John Dramani Mahama, the Ghana Commodity Exchange Board, its CEO, and staff to “take critical note” of the situation, urging close attention to issues surrounding his public commentary.
Press Statement
The NPP insisted that the former traditional leader must “draw a line” between expressing disappointment and engaging in what they view as politically charged attacks. They emphasized that the leadership of the party remains focused on its vision and will not be distracted by comments they consider to be without merit.
The release concluded by reaffirming the party’s confidence in its presidential aspirants, stating that all five individuals have demonstrated integrity, hard work, and dedication to national service..jpeg)
