A colourful ceremony organized by the Judicial Service of Ghana at Kwahu Nkwatia has seen Nana Owiredu Wadie I, the Nkosuohene of Kwahu Nkwatia, being honoured for his remarkable contributions to humanity and development.

The event brought together members of the clergy, political figures, traditional authorities, family, and well-wishers who gathered to celebrate the Nkosuohene’s outstanding achievements and selfless service to society.

Nana Owiredu Wadie, who also serves as the Chairman and Founder of the Kabaka Foundation, was recognized for his immense philanthropic works, particularly for constructing a modern court complex for the people of Kwahu Nkwatia—a gesture that has enhanced access to justice in the area.

Presenting the citation of honour on behalf of the Acting Chief Justice, His Lordship Justice Dr. Cyracus Bapuuroh commended Nana Owiredu Wadie for his tireless efforts as a peace builder, humanitarian, and nation builder. He noted that the Judicial Service’s recognition was a testament to Nana’s hard work, commitment to justice delivery, and contributions to community development across the country.

In his acceptance speech, Nana Owiredu Wadie I expressed profound gratitude to the Judicial Service of Ghana for acknowledging his efforts. He said the honour reflects his dedication to improving lives through education, health, and community infrastructure. Nana reaffirmed his commitment to humanitarian service and urged traditional leaders, civil society, and the youth to uphold peace and integrity. He also advised the youth to stay away from drugs and focus on education to build a better future.

The Chief of Kwahu Nkwatia, Nana Ayirepeh Boamah III, expressed heartfelt appreciation to the Judicial Service for recognizing his Nkosuohene. He praised Nana Owiredu Wadie’s humility, leadership, and relentless pursuit of development, noting that his appointment as Nkosuohene has brought immense pride and progress to the community.

Nana Ayirepeh Boamah III further appealed to the Acting Chief Justice to upgrade the Kwahu Nkwatia Circuit Court to High Court status, given the modern facilities and standards of the new court complex.

The event was filled with joy and admiration as speakers and attendees alike celebrated a man whose visionary leadership and benevolence continue to uplift lives and inspire a new generation of leaders across Ghana.
