E/R:Woodin Homes CEO Urges Government to Reduce Taxes and Interest Rates to Boost Job Creation

The Chief Executive Officer of Woodin Homes in Nsawam, Eastern Region, Mr. Mawuena Duse, has called on government to reduce high interest rates and taxes to create a more conducive environment for local businesses to thrive.

Speaking at the opening of his third business venture—a supermarket in Nsawam—Mr. Duse, who also operates a major electrical appliances and home appliances store in the town, stressed that the private sector is the true engine of growth in every developed economy. He argued that government alone cannot solve the unemployment challenge without empowering local entrepreneurs.

“It sometimes feels as though local businessmen are treated as enemies of the state, and that should not be the case,” Mr. Duse lamented.

He further appealed to Ghanaians to patronize businesses within their local communities in order to help them grow, expand, and contribute to job creation.
