Eastern Patriots Organize First General Meeting in Koforidua, Charting a Path Toward 2028 Victory
On June 14, 2025, Eastern Patriots, a group within the New Patriotic Party (NPP), held their first general meeting in Koforidua. This landmark event, held under the theme “Rebuilding for Victory 2028,” underscored the group’s unwavering commitment to revitalizing the party’s structures and galvanizing support following the 2024 electoral defeat.
The gathering saw an impressive turnout and featured several high-profile NPP figures, including Hon. David Prah, former Director General of TVET; Hon. Prince Sefah, former CEO of GIFEC; Hon. Kingsley Ofosu Ntiamoah, former CEO of Museums; Hon. Paul Asamoah, former DCE of Ofoase Ayirebi; Hon. Ike Appaw Gyasi, former Mayor of New Juaben South; Hon. Owusu Arthur, former MCE of Nsawam-Adoagyiri; George Krobea, Deputy National Communication Director; Hon. Tony Osei Adjei, Regional Secretary; Nana Yaw Papin, Regional Assistant Secretary; Mercy Amo-Dako, Regional Women’s Organizer; Adamu Musah Raha, Regional Youth Organizer; Evans Osei Yeboah, Regional Communication Director; Shaibu, Regional Deputy Nasara Coordinator; as well as current and former constituency officers. Their participation reflected the growing influence and significance of the Eastern Patriots within the party’s internal dynamics.
A highlight of the meeting was the presence of Hon. Jeff Konadu Addo, Eastern Regional Chairman of the NPP, whose keynote address brought depth and direction to the proceedings. In his remarks, Hon. Konadu Addo emphasized the critical need for unity among party members. He noted that the NPP’s strength lies in its ability to foster cohesion and shared purpose—qualities essential for a successful comeback in the 2028 general elections. He urged members to set aside internal differences and collaborate meaningfully to secure victory, which, he said, would ultimately benefit the Eastern Region and the nation as a whole.
The meeting also served as a platform for Eastern Patriots to deliberate on strategic initiatives focused on rebuilding the party’s grassroots base.
