E/R:Tamimu Halidu Confirmed as Kwahu West MCE, Pledges Unity and Development
The Kwahu West Municipal Assembly has officially confirmed Hon. Tamimu Halidu as the new Municipal Chief Executive (MCE), following a successful confirmation ceremony held at the Assembly Hall.
Hon. Halidu received a strong vote of confidence, securing 70.3% of votes from assembly members—an endorsement of his leadership potential and vision for the municipality.
Addressing attendees after his confirmation, the newly appointed MCE emphasized the need for unity and collaboration to drive development. "I am committed to fostering inclusiveness, unity, and prosperity for all," he assured.
The ceremony was well-attended, drawing assembly members, traditional leaders, political party representatives, and residents—all united in hope for the municipality’s transformation.
In his acceptance speech, Hon. Halidu expressed deep gratitude to the President, the Assembly Members, the leadership of the NDC, and the wider community for their trust. He pledged to lead a people-centered administration focused on critical sectors including infrastructure, education, healthcare, sanitation, and job creation.
He acknowledged the challenges ahead and called for a united front to address them, promising to uphold the values of integrity, transparency, and accountability.
Hon. Halidu also stressed the importance of inclusive governance, urging stakeholders across the political divide to join hands in pushing Kwahu West forward.
