E/R:Kwahu Tafo Chief Provides Free Health Screening for Over 700 Aged and Vulnerable Residents
As part of the 2025 Kwahu Easter festivities, the Chief of Kwahu Tafo, Nana Opoku Mintah II, organized a two-day free health screening exercise for more than 700 aged and vulnerable residents in the Kwahu Tafo community of the Kwahu East District, Eastern Region.
Addressing attendees, Nana Opoku Mintah II emphasized that the initiative was aimed at identifying underlying health conditions and offering prompt medical attention where needed. The exercise was also geared towards promoting healthier lifestyles and empowering individuals to take charge of their personal well-being.
The screening was conducted by a comprehensive team of healthcare professionals, including medical doctors, laboratory technicians, physician assistants, dentists, and nurses. Special attention was given to the elderly and other vulnerable groups in the community. The Chief expressed optimism that such periodic interventions would improve the overall health of residents and bring lasting joy to the community.
Additionally, Nana Opoku Mintah II expressed heartfelt appreciation to his subjects for their active participation and support during the Kwahu Tafo Easter celebrations. He reaffirmed his dedication to addressing the pressing challenges facing the community.
Beneficiaries of the screening exercise were full of gratitude for the initiative. They were screened and treated for conditions such as high blood pressure, hypertension, elevated blood sugar levels, diabetes, hepatitis B, and other ailments. Medications were also distributed to aid in treatment and recovery.
