E/R:Kwahu-Mang Poised for a Safe and Thrilling 2025 Easter Celebration – MP and Security Chiefs Assure Ghanaians

Kwahu-Mang, the cultural heartbeat of the Kwahu Easter festivities, is all set to deliver an unforgettable 2025 Easter Eve celebration, according to Hon. Davis Opoku Ansah (popularly known as OPK), Member of Parliament for Kwahu South Constituency.

Speaking at a press conference in Mpraeso yesterday alongside the Regional Security Council (RESEC), the MP announced that preparations are far advanced to host thousands of Easter revelers in a safe and exciting environment.

Highlighting Kwahu’s vast tourism potential, Hon. Opoku Ansah noted that this year’s festival will once again showcase the iconic Kwahu Odweanoma Paragliding Festival, which will feature seven pilots—including one Ghanaian and six international participants. He also mentioned other tourist attractions such as the "Stone Marrying Stone" at Asubone, New Jerusalem, Nketepa Amatey, the Cave at Twenedrase, and the Cano Walk at Obou.

The MP emphasized that security measures have been fully activated to ensure a smooth, accident-free celebration. He invited all Ghanaians, especially Easter enthusiasts, to come and experience the rich traditions and hospitality of the Kwahu people.

However, he issued a stern warning to troublemakers:

“If your intentions are to disturb the peace-loving people of Kwahu or disrupt this joyous occasion, be ready to face the full rigor of the law.”

Security Reinforced Ahead of Easter Festivities

Adding to the MP’s assurance, DCOP Isaac Kwadwo Asante, the Regional Police Commander, disclosed that the police will arrest anyone found with illegal drugs, red substances, offensive weapons, or engaging in criminal activities during the Easter celebrations.

“We are not here to protect miscreants,” he stated firmly. “We are deploying over a thousand personnel—both in uniform and plainclothes—across the streets and all four major entry routes into the Kwahu enclave. Public safety is our top priority.”

The 2025 Kwahu Easter promises not only fun, tradition, and tourism but also a well-coordinated and peaceful environment for families, friends, and tourists alike.
