E/R: Over 1,000 Police Officers Deployed to Ensure Peaceful Kwahu Easter Festivities

Security has been significantly tightened ahead of this year’s Kwahu Easter celebrations in the Eastern Region, as more than 1,000 police personnel have been deployed to maintain peace and order throughout the festivities.

Eastern North Regional Police Commander, DCOP Isaac Kwadwo Asante, has assured the public that comprehensive security arrangements are in place before, during, and after the event. His assurance comes amid growing concerns about the large crowds and potential criminal activity typically associated with the popular celebration.

DCOP Asante warned that acts of robbery, drug abuse, and other criminal behaviors will not be tolerated, adding that offenders will face the full rigors of the law.

Meanwhile, Member of Parliament for Mpraeso Constituency, Hon. Davis Opoku Ansah (OPK), revealed that seven skilled pilots—including one Ghanaian—will lead the highly anticipated paragliding festival on the Odwenanoma mountains.

He also encouraged revelers to explore Kwahu’s rich tourist attractions, including Stone City, Bruku Rock, Stone Age Park, and several breathtaking waterfalls. According to him, all necessary steps have been taken to ensure the safety and enjoyment of both locals and visitors during the Easter season.
