NIB Seizes $150 Million Worth of Cocaine on Takoradi-Cape Coast Highway

The National Intelligence Bureau (NIB) has seized a vehicle carrying approximately 120 slabs of cocaine, with an estimated street value of $150 million, according to reliable sources.

The operation took place on March 4, 2025, at around 4:30 PM along the Takoradi-Cape Coast highway. The intercepted vehicle, a Hogvan truck, was found to be transporting the illicit substance.

During interrogation, the driver of the truck identified one Charles Hagan, also known as "Panya," as the owner of the shipment. Hagan, a former NDC parliamentary candidate for Sekondi in the 2020 elections, has since been taken into custody to assist with investigations.

Authorities are continuing their probe into the matter, with further updates expected soon.
