E/R:Christians Urged to Balance Prayer with Hard Work
A newly established prayer camp, Mount Sinai Prayer Camp, has been inaugurated in Kwahu Obomeng, Kwahu South District, with a mission to serve as a place of spiritual growth and empowerment for believers. The camp, founded by Mama Ama Wadie Amaquaye, will host prayer meetings, evangelical events, and deliverance services aimed at impacting lives. Worshippers were encouraged to embrace the prayer camp wholeheartedly and actively participate in its activities.
Speaking at the event, Rev. Samuel Mankata Abbey, spokesperson for Mount Sinai Prayer Camp, urged Christians not to spend all their time at prayer camps, emphasizing the need for a balanced Christian life. He stated that while the Bible teaches believers to "pray without ceasing," this does not mean that all their time should be spent at prayer camps or in church. Instead, he encouraged Christians to combine prayer with hard work, diligence, and dedicated service to God and humanity.
He reiterated that Mount Sinai Prayer Camp will serve as a place where believers can grow in faith, receive healing and deliverance, and find hope and comfort. The camp's mission is to equip individuals to live fulfilling lives, win souls for Christ, and contribute to societal development.
Nana Effah Opinamang III, Chief of Kwahu Obomeng, also addressed the gathering, urging the camp to focus on solving the spiritual problems of the community. He emphasized that the camp should outlive the current generation and called on members to uphold moral values and avoid actions that could harm them before or after leaving the camp. He further encouraged them to build a lasting spiritual foundation for future generations under the divine counsel of prophets and prophetesses.
The inauguration of Mount Sinai Prayer Camp marks the beginning of a new spiritual journey for many in the community, with leaders urging believers to combine faith with action for a meaningful and productive life.
