Presidency Refutes Reports of Presidential Pardons


The Office of the President has categorically denied claims circulating in sections of the media that President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has granted presidential pardons to certain individuals.

In a statement dated January 6, 2025, signed by the Director of Communications, Eugene Arhin, the Presidency labeled the reports as inaccurate and clarified that no such pardons have been issued by President Akufo-Addo.

"We wish to categorically state that these assertions are inaccurate, and no pardon hasbeen granted by President Akufo-Addo,"the statement emphasized.

The public is urged to disregard any conflicting information on the matter and rely solely on official communications from the Office of the President.

This clarification comes in response to growing speculation and misinformation in the media regarding alleged pardons.
