E/R:Kwahu Tafo Farmers Commend Chief for Resolving Fulani Issues


Farmers in Kwahu Tafo, a community in the Kwahu East District of the Eastern Region, have expressed their gratitude to the Chief of Kwahu Tafo, Nana Opoku Mintah II, for his decisive action in addressing challenges posed by Fulani activities that were disrupting farming in the area.


The farmers praised the Chief and his elders for their efforts to remove Fulani herders from Kwahu Tafo lands. According to them, this intervention has significantly improved their livelihoods, allowing them to farm productively and earn sustainable incomes to support their families.

“We can confidently say that Nana Opoku Mintah II has been a blessing to us. His actions have brought peace and stability to our farms, enabling us to cultivate and provide for our families,” a farmer stated.


Nana Opoku Mintah II, who also serves as the Kwahu Twafuohene, expressed his gratitude to the farmers for their acknowledgment and support. He also appreciated the collaborative efforts of community members and elders in making the initiative successful.

In her remarks, Nana Gyemfuah Aduako II, the Queenmother of Kwahu Tafo and Kwahu Twafuohemaa, commended the farmers for their kind gesture and applauded Nana Opoku Mintah II for his timely intervention. She emphasized the importance of unity in addressing community challenges and ensuring progress for all.


The actions of the Chief and his elders have not only restored peace to Kwahu Tafo but also reinforced the community’s commitment to fostering sustainable development in the region.
