The Ablekuma community in the Greater Accra Region witnessed the enstoolment of a new Nkosuohemaa (Queen Mother of Development), Sarah Esi Meinert, in a ceremony led by the Nii Sempe Mensah family. This significant event was aimed at recognizing and entrusting her with the responsibility of spearheading development initiatives in the area.

Speaking on behalf of the Nii Sempe Mensah family, Nii Osaka, the Ablekuma Mankralo, expressed confidence in the newly enstooled queen mother, highlighting her capability to deliver transformational change. He emphasized that her recognition was based on her proven track record of service and dedication.

Adding his voice, Nii Dade Boahene, the Nkosuohene (Development Chief) of Ablekuma, assured the full support of the Chiefs and Queen Mothers to the new Nkosuohemaa. He reaffirmed their collective commitment to working together to bring the desired progress to the community.

In her acceptance speech, Nkosuohemaa Sarah Esi Meinert expressed profound gratitude for the honor bestowed upon her. She vowed to prioritize key areas of development, such as organizing programs to unite the elderly in the community and creating a sense of belonging for them. She also pledged to address the issue of children loitering on the streets by collaborating with the Chiefs and Queen Mothers to enroll them in schools.

"I am humbled by this recognition, and I will work tirelessly to take the development of Ablekuma to greater heights," she said.

Furthermore, Nkosuohemaa Meinert made a passionate appeal for peace and unity as the nation prepares for the 2024 general election. She urged the Electoral Commission of Ghana to conduct the election with fairness and transparency to ensure a violence-free process.

The enstoolment ceremony, attended by dignitaries, traditional leaders, and residents, marks a new chapter for the Ablekuma community as it anticipates a future of growth and prosperity under the leadership of its newly enstooled Nkosuohemaa.
