The New Patriotic Party (NPP) in Abuakwa North Constituency, led by Nana Kwame Ampaw Addo Frempong, popularly known as Chief Buffalo, staged a massive victory walk on Sunday, November 17, 2024. The event aimed to demonstrate the party's strength and unity as they gear up for the December 7 general elections.

The victory walk, which commenced at Akyem Kukurantumi, took participants through the principal streets of Akyem Tafo and concluded with a mini-rally at Akyem Old Tafo. Over 4,000 enthusiastic party supporters, primarily youth clad in NPP colors and paraphernalia, participated in the event. They wielded placards bearing messages such as "Restoration of Nurses Trainee's Allowance," "Loyal Ladies for Buffalo," "Ghana Card for Passport," and "Vote for NPP to Protect Free SHS."

The event was graced by notable dignitaries, including Justin Kodua Frimpong, NPP General Secretary; Salam Mustapha, National Youth Organizer; Kwame Boateng, UK NPP Organizer; Anthony Osei Agyei, Eastern Regional Secretary; Jerry Osei Poku, Eastern Regional Organizer; Hon. He declared confidence that this support would translate into a decisive victory in the December elections.

Hon. Kofi Okyere Baafi, the NPP Parliamentary Candidate for New Juaben South, urged constituents to vote massively for Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia and Nana Kwame Ampaw Addo Frempong, describing it as a fitting farewell gift to President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, a former Member of Parliament for the area.

Salam Mustapha, the National Youth Organizer, encouraged supporters to intensify their campaigns to ensure a decisive win for the party. He also criticized the NDC for their repeated attacks on former President John Agyekum Kufuor, urging party members to respond appropriately if such actions persist.

Nana Kwame Ampaw Addo Frempong, the Parliamentary Candidate for Abuakwa North, expressed immense gratitude to the youth and other supporters for their overwhelming turnout. He highlighted the NPP's commitment to job creation and shared plans to establish a rubber factory in the constituency, sourcing raw materials from the Fischer Rubber Plantation. He assured attendees that the 18-kilometer road construction from New Tafo Akim OPASS Junction through New Tafo Akim to Old Tafo Akim Engen Junction would be completed by the end of the year to mitigate health risks caused by dust in the area.

Chief Buffalo concluded by emphasizing the unity within the Abuakwa North NPP and vowed to secure a landslide victory over the NDC. "Abuakwa North will never go green but stay solidly blue," he stated, underscoring the party's determination to retain the seat.
