E/R: Hon. Gifty Twum-Ampofo Donates Motorcycles and Bullion Van to Abuakwa North NPP, Calls for Party Unity Ahead of 2024 Elections

Honourable Dr. Gifty Twum-Ampofo, popularly known as Hajia Kande, Member of Parliament for Abuakwa North Constituency and former Deputy Minister of Education (in charge of TVET), made a significant donation today, 20th September 2024, to the Abuakwa North NPP. She presented six brand-new Royal motorcycles and pledged a branded bullion van for party use when needed. The presentation took place at the party's office in Kukurantumi, in the Eastern Region of Ghana.

The Eastern Regional Secretary of the NPP, Mr. Anthony Osei-Agyei, received the donation and handed it over to Constituency Chairman Alhaji Seidu Ibrahim, expressing deep gratitude for Hon. Twum-Ampofo’s generosity. He praised her unwavering loyalty to the party, especially after her parliamentary bid loss, contrasting her dedication with other MPs who have chosen to run as independents in the upcoming general elections.

Mr. Osei-Agyei used the opportunity to emphasize the need for party unity ahead of the 2024 general elections, expressing optimism about breaking the 8-year political cycle with the leadership of Dr. Mahammud Bawumia and Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh. He urged Ghanaians to support the NPP for continued socio-economic progress.

Hon. Twum-Ampofo, speaking at the sidelines of the event, highlighted her appreciation for the NPP, which has empowered her as a Deputy Minister for 7 years and an MP for 8 years. She called on all Ghanaians to embrace digital transformation and take advantage of Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET), especially as Ghana explores partnerships with countries like Germany and the United States for labor export.

She further encouraged party supporters to turn out in large numbers on December 7th to ensure a strong mandate for Dr. Bawumia and Dr. Opoku Prempeh, continuing the path of national development.

After receiving the motorcycles, Alhaji Seidu Ibrahim distributed them, allocating one to the Youth Wing and the rest to electoral area coordinators, stressing the importance of using the motorcycles for party campaign activities and not for commercial use.

The event was attended by party executives, polling station representatives, and media outlets.
