E/R: Akyem Sokode Juaso Chief Supports Over 50 Widows and Widowers With Food Items




Barimah Dr. Kwabena Awuah Parker I, Chief of Akyem Sokode Juaso in the Abuakwa North Municipality of Ghana’s Eastern Region, has donated bags of rice and vegetable oil to widows and widowers in the community.


The gesture, which took place on Friday, August 21, 2026, benefited more than 50 widows and widowers as part of efforts to support vulnerable members of the community.


Speaking during the presentation, Barimah Dr. Kwabena Awuah Parker I pledged his continued support to the beneficiaries and assured them that measures were being put in place to address their healthcare needs.



He disclosed that arrangements were being made with the Community Hospital to provide healthcare services to the widows and widowers, with the cost to be borne by him.


The chief, who is also known for his philanthropic activities, has been supporting more than 2,000 widows and orphans across the country.


He reaffirmed his commitment to extending assistance to vulnerable individuals and contributing to their welfare and wellbeing.
