E/R:Irene Baah Asare Empowers Young Artisan with Industrial Sewing Machine in Abuakwa North

Abuakwa North, Eastern Region – Aspiring New Patriotic Party (NPP) Women Organiser for the Abuakwa North Constituency of Ghana's Eastern Region, Irene Baah Asare, has demonstrated her commitment to empowering young people by donating an industrial sewing machine to Benjamin Teye Kusorgbor of the Ati Amanfrom Electoral Area on 9th July, 2026.


The donation followed a request made during Ms. Baah Asare's recent tour of the constituency by Joseph Antwi Mensah, Polling Station Chairman of the Ati Pentecost Church Polling Station. He appealed to her to support Benjamin, who successfully completed his tailoring apprenticeship on 27th September 2025 but lacked the equipment needed to establish his own business.


Benjamin, the son of Naomi Tetteh and the late Daniel Kusorgbor, both loyal supporters of the New Patriotic Party, received the sewing machine in the presence of Nana Ofori Atta Fredua, Electoral Area Coordinating Chairman, as well as polling station executives and party faithful.


Speaking during the presentation, Ms. Baah Asare reiterated her commitment to supporting skills development and youth empowerment, stressing that helping young artisans become self-reliant contributes to economic growth and community development.


The presentation was an emotional moment for the beneficiary and his mother, who shed tears of joy as they expressed profound gratitude for the timely support. They described the donation as a life-changing intervention that would enable Benjamin to begin his tailoring business and build a sustainable livelihood.


The gesture has been widely praised by residents and party supporters, who described it as a practical demonstration of leadership, compassion, and a commitment to improving the lives of constituents.
