E/R:Electrical Timebomb: Abuakwa North NADMO Sounds Alarm Over Fallen Transformer

The Abuakwa North NADMO Secretariat is warning of an impending electrical disaster in Osiem, where two wooden poles supporting an electric transformer collapsed yesterday evening (April 7, 2026) at 7:40 pm. The incident, blamed on weak soil load-bearing capacity, has left areas like the Hawa Memorial Saviour Hospital without power, disrupting daily operations.

The fallen transformer poses a significant fire risk, threatening lives and property. With the situation precarious, NADMO is urging authorities to act swiftly to avert a catastrophe. "The fallen Transformer possesses a very high risk of fire disaster that can cause loss of life and properties," the statement warned.

NADMO's appeal highlights the urgent need for intervention to prevent a disaster. Residents are advised to exercise caution and report any concerns to the authorities.
