The fatal incident occurred around 5:00 a.m. near Amanase, a community in the Ayensuano District of the Eastern Region, involving a fuel tanker (registration GR 1300-16) and a Benz Sprinter passenger bus (registration GW 6510-23). Preliminary police investigations suggest that the tanker driver may have fallen asleep at the wheel, causing the vehicle to drift from its lane and collide head-on with the oncoming Sprinter bus.
