E/R:Journalist Robbed Amid Rising Tensions at Fanteakwa North Collation Center

  Eric Obeng Boateng popularly known as Nana Kwabena Boateng Kakape, a journalist with GhanaWeb, was robbed of GH¢400 while covering the ongoing election collation process at the Presbyterian Church Hall in Fanteakwa North Constituency, Eastern Region. The incident adds to the escalating tension in the area as the 2024 general elections near their conclusion.   According to the journalist, the incident occurred when he stepped outside the collation center to urinate. He was surrounded by unknown political individuals at the in front of the collation center , who searched his pockets and took the money, claiming that no one was permitted to enter or leave the collation center.   Fortunately, security personnel present at the scene intervened and rescued him from the attackers.
