The people of Pramkese, a town in the Kwaebibirem Municipality of the Eastern Region, have a new Queen Mother after a 20-year vacancy. Madam Joyce Akyaa, a prominent businesswoman, has been enstooled as the Queen Mother of Pramkese under the stool name Nana Ofosua Aduawonmah III.
The ceremony, which was attended by eminent chiefs from the Akyem Abuakwa Traditional Council and beyond, was presided over by the Chief of Pramkese, Barima Ofori Frempong II, and other kingmakers. The Adasuasehemaa represented the Okyenhenaa at the event.The ceremony also saw in attendance Osabarima Asare Twe II Kadehene and Obaahemaa Obiyaa Gyadum II Kadehemaa.
Pramkese, a town under the Benkum and Odau divisions of the Akyem Abuakwa Traditional Council, has finally gotten a leader to fill the vacant stool. The new Queen Mother is expected to play a key role in the traditional and cultural development of the area.
The enstoolment of Nana Ofosua Aduawonmah III is seen as a significant milestone for the people of Pramkese, who have been without a Queen Mother for two decades. The community is hopeful that her leadership will bring development and prosperity to the area.
