Amasaman Residents Hail Outgoing Divisional Police Commander for Outstanding Service and Community Impact

Residents and stakeholders in Amasaman, within the Ga West Municipality of the Greater Accra Region, have heaped praises on the outgoing Ga West Divisional Police Commander, ACP Susana Adjei Mensah, for her exemplary leadership, unwavering dedication to duty, and commitment to maintaining law and order in the municipality. The commendations were made during this year’s West African Security Services Association (WASSA) celebration, which also doubled as a farewell ceremony in her honour. The well-attended event brought together traditional leaders, traders, security personnel, members of the Municipal Assembly, and other community stakeholders to pay tribute to ACP Adjei Mensah’s impactful tenure.
In a glowing tribute, the Municipal Chief Executive (MCE), Hon. John Desmond Sowah Nai, lauded the police commander for transforming the security landscape of the area. According to him, ACP Adjei Mensah is a dedicated and results-driven team player who consistently collaborated with stakeholders to address pressing issues in the municipality. “She is not just a law enforcement officer; she is a problem solver who works with heart and vision,” he remarked. Many residents, particularly traders, expressed their heartfelt appreciation, describing ACP Susana Adjei Mensah as a transformative figure who brought a new sense of discipline, safety, and cleanliness to Amasaman. Her proactive approach to crime prevention, community engagement, and her widely supported clean-up campaigns were particularly praised.
Addressing the gathering, an emotional ACP Adjei Mensah expressed gratitude to the people of Amasaman for the love and recognition. She extended special thanks to the police administration and the Ga West Municipal Assembly for their unwavering support throughout her tenure. She also acknowledged the crucial role of the media in amplifying the command’s activities and strengthening police-public relations. “I’m deeply humbled by this outpouring of love and support. It has been a privilege serving the people of Amasaman. I’m especially grateful for the unity we built together through our shared goal of community development and peace,” she said.
As a symbol of appreciation for her remarkable leadership and service, the Ga West Divisional Police Command presented her with a citation to commemorate her legacy. Her departure leaves behind a strong foundation of community policing, proactive crime prevention, and stakeholder collaboration—an enduring impact that residents and colleagues say will not be forgotten.
