E/R:Nkosouhene of Akyem Nyafoman Supports 2025 BECE Candidates with Educational Materials

The Nkosouhene of Akyem Nyafoman in the Birim North District, Abirem Constituency of the Eastern Region, Nana Totuo Kantinka, has once again extended his support to final-year students in his community ahead of the 2025 Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE).

In a short ceremony held at the forecourt of the Nyafoman Roman Catholic Basic and Junior High School, Nana Totuo Kantinka donated 50 mathematical sets and several packs of pens to all BECE candidates to help them adequately prepare for their exams. In addition, he presented 600 exercise books to the school.

This is the second consecutive year the Nkosouhene has made such a donation, emphasizing his commitment to improving education in the community. Handing over the items to the headmaster, Nana Kantinka encouraged the students to take their studies seriously, make good use of the materials, and avoid any form of examination malpractice, which could ruin their future.

Receiving the items, the headmaster of Nyafoman R/C M/A Basic School, Mr. Bright Frempong, expressed gratitude for the gesture, noting that 41 candidates—25 boys and 16 girls—will be writing this year’s BECE. He highlighted that the donation would help equip the students with the necessary tools for success.

Some of the students, moved by the support, also expressed their appreciation to the Nkosouhene and pledged to study hard and strive for excellence in the examination.
