The management of Tonyx Hotel in Koforidua has extended heartfelt condolences to the family of a nine-year-old Trinity School pupil who tragically drowned in the hotel’s swimming pool.

In a statement addressing the incident, the hotel’s management acknowledged public concerns and reassured patrons of their unwavering commitment to safety and professionalism.

"We extend our deepest condolences to the bereaved family during this profoundly difficult time. As an establishment dedicated to the highest standards of professionalism, we assure all patrons that our safety measures remain thorough, robust, and aligned with industry best practices," the statement read.

The management emphasized that, at all times, the hotel’s safety protocols and standards of care had been diligently upheld. They also confirmed their full cooperation with the police and other relevant authorities to ensure a swift and transparent resolution of the matter.

"We remain steadfast in our commitment to maintaining a safe and secure environment for all our guests and encourage our valued patrons to continue enjoying the quality services we consistently provide," the statement concluded.

The tragic incident has sparked widespread conversations online, with many calling for enhanced safety measures at recreational facilities.
