E/R:Irene Baah Asare Eyes Abuakwa North NPP Women Organizer Position, Pledges Unity and Grassroots Mobilization

Mrs. Irene Baah Asare, a philanthropist and aspiring Women’s Organizer for the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the Abuakwa North Constituency in Ghana's Eastern Region, has outlined her vision to strengthen the party’s women’s wing and contribute to the NPP’s quest to reclaim political power in the 2028 general elections.

Speaking in an interview with Nsempakani Nana Addo on Radio 1 (100.7 FM) on Saturday, June 20, 2026, Mrs. Baah Asare emphasized the indispensable role women play in political party organization and electioneering campaigns. According to her, women remain the backbone of every strong and successful political party, making their mobilization and empowerment essential for electoral victory.

She explained that her decision to contest for the Women’s Organizer position is driven by her desire to bring her experience, leadership skills, and knowledge to bear in strengthening the party’s grassroots structures and inspiring greater participation among women across the constituency.

Mrs. Baah Asare assured party members and delegates that she would serve with purpose, humility, dedication, and diligence if given the mandate. She noted that these values guided her during her tenure as Treasurer of the NPP in Abuakwa North, where she worked tirelessly in support of the party’s objectives.

“I am committed to serving the party with a strong sense of responsibility and dedication. My experience within the party has equipped me with the knowledge and understanding needed to effectively mobilize and empower our women for the task ahead,” she stated.

The Women Organizer hopeful further appealed to delegates and party faithful to support her candidacy, stressing the importance of unity and togetherness in building a formidable front ahead of future elections.

She expressed confidence that a united NPP would be well-positioned to win the 2028 general elections and provide what she described as effective leadership for the socio-economic development of Abuakwa North and Ghana as a whole.

Mrs. Baah Asare concluded by urging party members to remain committed to the ideals of the NPP and work collectively towards strengthening the party at the grassroots level, describing unity as the key ingredient for future electoral success.
