E/R:"Resetting the Nation Begins with Mindset and Attitude – Kwahu West MCE Urges at National Prayer Event"
Nkawkaw – Eastern Region:
The Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) for Kwahu West, Hon. Tamimu Halidu, has called on Ghanaians to embrace a mindset reset and a change in attitude as key components of national transformation. He emphasized that the "Reset Agenda" is not merely a policy slogan but a call to restore trust, rebuild confidence in the economy, strengthen institutions, and lay the foundation for inclusive and sustainable development.
Hon. Halidu made these remarks during the National Prayer and Thanksgiving Service held in Kwahu West Municipality. The event brought together hundreds of residents from various religious backgrounds in a show of unity and spiritual reflection. It began with a Christian service at the Nkawkaw Grace Presbyterian Church, followed by a Muslim prayer session at the Nkawkaw Central Mosque.
Delivering the sermon during the Christian service, Rt. Rev. Atto Baafi Himbson, Bishop of the Nkawkaw Diocese of the Methodist Church Ghana, emphasized that true national change begins in the minds of individuals. He called for Ghanaians to adopt a renewed mindset grounded in integrity, honesty, and unity, noting that this is the foundation for a prosperous and united nation.
Muslims in attendance also played a significant role in the event, offering Quranic recitals and prayers for divine guidance, national peace, and unity. Representing the Nkawkaw Chief Imam, Alhaji Abdul Abubarka, who is also the Eastern Regional Kusase Chief, urged the youth—particularly Muslim youth—to adopt positive attitudes and uphold moral conduct in their contributions to national development.
The interfaith event underscored the importance of spiritual renewal in national discourse and encouraged a united approach to Ghana’s development journey—through both prayer and purposeful action.
