E/R:Chief Brightens Christmas for Over 1,000 Vulnerable Individuals and Children
The Nkosuohene of Kwahu Nkwatia, Nana Owiredu Wadie, and founder of the "Kabaka Foundation," has spread Christmas cheer by distributing food packages to over 1,000 needy individuals in Dome and nearby communities in Accra.
The packages, containing essentials such as rice, cooking oil, sardines, chicken, tinned tomatoes, and sausages, are part of Nana Owiredu Wadie’s annual Christmas initiative.
Speaking on behalf of Nana Wadie, the Executive Director of the Kabaka Foundation, Mr. Henry Larbi, emphasized that the gesture aims to provide relief to families struggling during the festive season. He highlighted the growing demand for such interventions, attributing it to widespread economic challenges, and reaffirmed the foundation’s dedication to long-term projects in health, education, and economic empowerment.
In addition, over 500 children were treated to snacks, drinks, and Christmas toys in a similar event organized by Nana Wadie’s children.
Nana Owiredu Wadie’s commitment to community development extends beyond Christmas. His foundation is spearheading several projects, including a modern KG block at Asikesu in New Juaben North, a fully furnished Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at the Eastern Regional Hospital, and scholarship packages for needy university students—all aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
Grateful beneficiaries lauded Nana Wadie and the Kabaka Foundation for their continuous support and generosity.
