E/R: KENAFAM Foundation Spreads Holiday Cheer with Donations to Orphanages, Widows/Widowers, and Anweabeng Community

In the spirit of giving and unity, KENAFAM Foundation has made generous donations to several orphanages, a church, and a community in the Eastern Region ahead of this year’s holiday season. The foundation provided bags of rice, boxes of biscuits, and assorted soft drinks to the Jehovah Rapha Orphanage in Suhum, the Hour of Grace Orphanage in Huhunya, and the widows and widowers of the Presbyterian Church of Ghana, Prince of Peace Congregation, Akyem Tafo-Besease. Additionally, second-hand clothing was donated to residents of Akyem Anweabeng.

The donations included 8 bags of rice, 16 packs of Piccadilly biscuits, and 6 packs of soft drinks each for Jehovah Rapha Orphanage and Hour of Grace Orphanage. Residents of Anweabeng received second-hand clothing, 10 packs of Piccadilly biscuits, and other assorted items. Widows and widowers of the Presbyterian Church of Ghana, Besease Prince of Peace Congregation, were each given a parcel containing 2kg of rice, Piccadilly biscuits, and drinks.

Earlier this month, KENAFAM Foundation extended similar charitable acts to the Asiakwa SOS Village and the Ofori Panin Special School in Kukuratumi, reinforcing its commitment to supporting underprivileged communities.

Speaking to Nana Kwasi Asare, Mrs. Irene Baah Asare, Project Manager of KENAFAM Foundation and Principal Human Resource Officer at the Cocoa Research Institute of Ghana (CRIG), emphasized the foundation’s unwavering dedication to fostering love and unity. She highlighted the significance of helping the vulnerable and called on other individuals and organizations to follow their example.

“We started donations last year, and we are back this year to express love once again. Giving during festive occasions brings joy and happiness to both the giver and the receiver. As a charitable organization, we remain committed to our mission and encourage others to support us to do more,” she stated.

Mrs. Irene Baah Asare also urged well-meaning individuals, civil society groups, institutions, and NGOs to reach out to the underprivileged in society, fostering a sense of harmony and hope. “These acts of kindness can transform lives and strengthen the bonds within our communities,” she added.

KENAFAM Foundation, a Non Governmental Organization, has continually demonstrated a strong commitment to supporting those in need. Since its inception, the foundation has been a beacon of hope for many in Ghana, making tangible differences through its outreach programs and donations.

The recent contributions by KENAFAM Foundation have not only brought smiles to many faces but have also reinforced the values of compassion and unity, underscoring the essence of the holiday season.
