The victory, hailed as a monumental achievement, has brought immense pride to the Eastern Region and particularly to Abuakwa North Municipality, which was entrusted with the honor of representing the region.

Mrs. Grace Adza-Awude, Municipal Director of Education for Abuakwa North, attributed the success to the tireless efforts and dedication of the teachers. She highlighted the pivotal role of the Korea-Ghana KOICA intervention, which provided specialized training for educators in science and mathematics.

“I am very grateful to the teachers in the Municipality for devoting their time to training the students. Some of them sacrificed immensely to support the team. This victory is also a testament to the KOICA intervention that has equipped our teachers with the necessary skills to excel, especially in STEM education. By the Grace of God, we won the ultimate,” she said.

Mrs. Adza-Awude extended her gratitude to Hon. Dr. Gifty Twum-Ampofo, Member of Parliament for Abuakwa North and former Deputy Minister of Education in charge of TVET, Hon. Dr. Alhaji Umar Babs Bodinga, Municipal Chief Executive, the Cocoa Research Institute of Ghana, and all stakeholders for their unwavering support. She called for continued collaboration to enhance teacher training and promote excellence in education.

Mrs. Adza-Awude reaffirmed her belief in the bright future of Abuakwa North, asserting that the Municipality is on the path to producing professionals who will contribute significantly to Ghana's socio-economic development. She also dispelled the notion that private schools outperform public schools, emphasizing that public schools in the Municipality have trained professionals and adequate resources for quality education.

The Eastern Regional Director of Education, Mrs. Ivy Asantewaa Owusu, was commended for her trust in Abuakwa North to represent the region at the national level. This confidence, along with the hard work and dedication of students and educators, led to a remarkable achievement that has elevated the reputation of the Eastern Region on a national platform.

As Abuakwa North celebrates this historic win, the community looks forward to even greater accomplishments in the future, driven by the commitment of its teachers, students, and stakeholders.
